Naomi is a native New Yorker born and raised in Flushing, Queens.
She has been designing for Film and Theater in New York City since 2003.
Naomi has her MFA in Costume Design from Brandeis University and her BA from Queens College where she joint majored in Theater and Studio Art with Minors in Art History and Textiles & Apparel.
She was the 2003 recipient of the Ruth Morley Prize for Excellence in Costume Design and was nominated for Outstanding Costume Design at the 2007 New York Innovative Theatre Awards (West Moon Street, Prospect Theater Company)
Naomi designed the costumes for the features Claire In Motion (Lisa Robinson and Annie J. Howell, Co-Writers and Co-Directors. World Premiere SXSW Film Festival 2016) Stones in the Sun (Patricia Benoit, Director. Winner Best Feature, Los Angeles Pan African Film Festival) and Forgetting the Girl (Nate Taylor, Director. Audience Award Winner, SoHo International Film Festival).
For 7 Seasons she has been the Assistant Costume Designer on CBS’s Blue Bloods with Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan and has been the Assistant Designer on many TV series and Motion Pictures.
Naomi has designed the costumes for dozens of plays and musicals in and around New York City and the Boston area and has assisted on Broadway as well.
While designing Off-Off-Broadway shows after Graduate school Naomi payed the bills temping at the Metropolitan Museum of Art which was her favorite museum as a kid and still is.
She lives in Washington Heights with her husband Marty.
Naomi enjoys traveling, cooking, Jeopardy!, opera, museums and Yankees games.
